The Junior League of Amarillo is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

About Our Members:

We are doctors, lawyers, nurses, teachers, business women, mothers, grandmothers, volunteers and friends.

In addition to the busy professional and home lives we live, our Active members all donate a minimum of 50 hours each year to serve our community.  We are making a difference in Amarillo!

Active Member Requirements: 
  • Must receive a minimum of 25 points as outlined in the JLA Member Point Tracking grid, based on placement, membership meeting attendance, years of prior Active service, fundraising shift work, etc.
  • Shall perform placement satisfactory to the Placement Committee (community project standard requirements as presented by the Project Research and Development Committee).
  • Annual dues - $140 (Includes $43 AJLI dues and $30 Membership Meeting Hospitality Fee.)
  • Fulfill all fundraising obligations.

Provisional Member Requirements:

  • Shall attend membership meetings and other meetings as outlined in the Provisional Course.
  • Shall fulfill obligations as outlined in the Provisional Course.
  • Shall attend designated Placement consultations.
  • Annual dues - $125 (Includes $43 AJLI dues and $30 Membership Meeting Hospitality Fee.) 
  • Provisional Course fee - additional $62 
  • Fulfill all fundraising obligations.
